MC Art Faculty and Alumni attended the 2018 MAEA Spring Conference at the George Ohr Museum in Biloxi.
Stephanie Busbea, and Leah Whisenant (NAEA President) try to organize something for our NAEA club members to do every month to get together. This month NAEA took on Fondren first Thursday and enjoyed open house art gallery's, pig n' pint, and La brioche french bakery! All that to say it was a fun time!

Vicky Miley was recently honored at the Southeastern Region Art Educator of the Year as an annual conference of thousands of art educators in Seattle, Washington. Students in Dr. Busbea's Aesthetics class and Modern Art History visited the Mississippi Museum of Art for the Mississippi 200 exhibition. They participated in scavenger hunts on aesthetic theory and art history and wrote critical responses to works of art. Freda Knowles, Kaylan Cooper, and Mary-Hannah Smith spent time creating a poem about Warhol's Elvis.
